Vishwakarma Jayanti is one of India’s most well-known festivals. It celebrates the birth of the Hindu deity Vishwakarma and is mostly followed by India’s working class. Who is Vishwakarma?

People think that Vishwakarma built the city of Dwaraka out of gold on this land.
Stories about Lord Vishwakarma (Divine Architect)
One of India’s states, Odisha, has the famous Lord Jagannath temple at Puri. Tales and myths say that the famous king Indradyumna wanted to put an idol of Lord Vishnu in this temple. There’s a well-known story about Vishwakarma, the God who built the temple of Lord Jagannath. Vishwakarma went to the king dressed as an older man and told him that he would cut the log into an idol if no one bothered him while he worked. He also said he would leave during the trip if this condition were broken. Vishwakarma, dressed as an older man, started making the idol in a closed studio.
The king couldn’t keep himself in check without seeing how the work was going. He let people into the workshop. Lord Vishwakarma left the place immediately before he could finish making the Krishna, Balaram, and Subhadra statues.
The Mahabharata says that Lord Vishwakarma made the Maya Sabha, or the hall of lies, for the Pandavas in Indraprastha.
People also think that Lord Vishwakarma came up with and wrote the part of the Rig Veda that talks about mechanics and building.
